Making healthy lifestyle choices can be hard without support. We all have different challenges, needs, and goals. At the YMCA, we’re committed to your success and one way we show that commitment is through our Wellness Coaching Program. This service is FREE with your membership and can be taken advantage of at any time.
Wellness Coaching is for adults, who are interested in making healthy changes to their current lifestyle. YMCA Wellness Coaches will provide you with the guidance, support and encouragement needed to be successful in making lasting healthy changes.
Wellness Coaching is a great option for any level of exerciser. Our coaches can help those who are new to exercise develop a plan that works in your busy life. They can help those who are working toward different goals start moving in another direction. If you are struggling with motivation, our coaches are skilled at helping members to prioritize and determine next steps. They can even help you work through your healthy eating challenges and habits. Whatever your fitness goals are, including trying to lose weight, become more active, or meet new people, our Wellness Coaches are here to support you along your journey.
What does the FREE Wellness Coaching Program Include?
- Four one-hour personalized 1 on 1 wellness coaching sessions with a trained YMCA Wellness Coach
- Personal goal setting and strategies to help you achieve your goals
- Tour of facility and orientation to Wellness Center Equipment
- After completing 4 sessions you will receive a Wellness Certificate
So my meeting are up, what now?
Remember, our Wellness Coaches are not just Y staff, but there are your support group. Our coaches greatly care about your health and well-being. Our coaches are available around the building so don’t be afraid to say hello! Our coaches will ask you how your journey is going and hopefully, you will have a positive story to tell them.

YMCA Personal Training is one-on-one, one hour time frame with a certified personal trainer. YMCA Members may also schedule small group (2-4 people) training sessions. Contact Katie Sheedy at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or for a FREE consultation.
Do you want to know more about any of our wellness center equipment? Join YMCA Personal Trainer Katie Sheedy and learn proper form and technique on any unfamiliar equipment. Wellness Center Orientations are available each month for Teens, Adults, and Seniors.

Megan Biester is our Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Through working with Megan, you will learn how foods and other factors can affect your mood, energy levels, hormones, ability to lose weight, and more.
