Using Ripsticks®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.
Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels, POUND
Zumba mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility.
Strong by Zumba® (13 years old w/ a parent)
Stop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.
This type of circuit training class will condition your whole body. Taught by personal trainers Katie Morris and Cat Jabczynski, this class is similar to a group training session.
This “small group training class” will challenge you through a station based program using movements such as ball slams, battle ropes, mat exercises, body weight exercises, deadlifts, rowing and more.
Spinning is a form of exercise focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity and recovery. It involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel. Run by volunteers.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.
SilverSneakers Circuit (18 years and older)
This workout offers standing, low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball. A chair is available for support. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted
depending on the skill of individual participant
Flow Yoga (13 years and older)
A fun and invigorating class creatively linking breath to pose. This 60 minute class will get your breath dialed in for a flowing meditation in movement! Leave energized in this continuous vinyasa class that focuses on breath, strenth, and taking you into your personal power.
Group Exercise Policies
- Sign Up sheets will be available one hour before classes begin
- Must be present in the building to sign up for any class
- YMCA Guests will be an $8 Guest Pass Fee for any class
Performed mostly in the shallow water, this class uses low impact aerobics to stretch every part of your body.
